TB kills 64,000, attacks 300,000

Tuberculosis kills at least 64,000 people and also attacks as many as 300,000 every year across the country, health experts said Thursday, reports BSS.
Senior officials of the Directorate of Health at their quarterly monitoring meeting also said that three districts of the Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) are at high risk of this disease.During discussion on tackling the disease in the hill districts, the health officials said a total of 201 TB patients were found and 32 of them were cured over the last 6 months.
