TCB starts selling food items in Ctg

Our CorrespondentbrCHITTAGONG, Sept 10 With a view to controlling the prices of essential commodities a 4-member monitoring team led by an additional deputy commissioner (ADC) conducted vigilance at different markets and fair price shops in the city.brThe team conducted vigilance on prices of consumer goods at different retail shops and fair price shops at Bahadderhat, Chawkbazar and Kazirdewri Bazar of the city and it noticed difference in prices of goods at the wholesale markets, retail shops and fair price shops.brThe monitoring team also warned a few hotels and restaurants in different areas in the city as they were found keeping food items in an unhygienic manner.brMeanwhile, Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) also started selling goods at the important crossings of the city. Sugar, onion, 'chhola' and edible oil are being sold through mobile trucks at Taka 30, Tk 20, Tk 50 and Tk 108 per kg respectively.br
