TCB to sell five essentials from June 01

KHULNA, May 29: The state-owned Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) would start sale of five essential commodities—sugar, edible  oil, pulses, gram and date—in the open market through designated dealers ahead  of holy Shab-e-barat and Ramadan from June 01. Sources said the sugar would sell at Tk 43 per kg, a litre of open soybean oil  Tk 98 and a litre of bottled soybean oil Tk 120, pulse  Tk 103 per kg. The organisation appointed 535 dealers in 14 districts last week to sell the commodities among the consumers.  The districts are Khulna, Faridpur, Rajbari, Gopalganj, Pirojpur, Satkhira, Bagerhat, Narail, Jessore, Magura, Meherpur, Jhenidah, Kushtia and  Chuadanga.    — BSS
