Tea market sees easier demand

The weekly tea market witnessed much easier demand Tuesday and prices declined for all varieties mostly by Tk 4.0 to Tk 6.0.
According to a press release, Blenders were much less active whilst there was only a little interest from the Loose tea buyers.
Dusts were a lower market following much less demand.
CTC LEAF: 28,299 packages on offer met with less demand at much easier rates. There were fair withdrawals.
BROKENS: All good liquoring Brokens met with a fair demand but prices declined by Tk 4.0 to Tk 6.0 and these could be quoted between Tk 195 and Tk 199 per kilogramme. Other varieties also declined in line with quality. There were several withdrawals.
FANNINGS: Good liquoring Fannings met with a fairly good demand but prices were easier often declining by Tk 5.0 and more ranging between Tk 195 and Tk 199. The remainder eased further with a few withdrawals.
CTC DUST: 3,538 packages on offer met with much less demand at easier rates. Higher valued teas eased by upto Tk 15 with some withdrawals. Medium and plainer varieties eased by Tk 10 to Tk 15 with fair withdrawals. Blenders were very selective with only some interest from the Loose tea buyers.
