Teacher, 9 schoolgirls hurt by stalkers

A teacher and nine girl students of Sarpukur High School were injured in an attack by some stalkers at Khatapara in Aditmari upazila on Saturday evening. Abu Taleb, the headmaster of the school, said their students took part in an inter-school science fair at Khatapa. When some spoiled youths attempted to take photograph of some girl students of the school their teachers resisted them which triggered an altercation between the teachers and the youths. When teachers were returning home with their students in an autorickshaw the youths attacked them, leaving assistant teacher Pranab Kumar Roy and nine girl students injured. The injured were admitted to Aditmari upazila health complex. A case was filed in this connection with Aditmari police station. Teachers, students and guardians demanded immediate arrest of the attackers, according to UNB.
