Teacher arrested over sexual harassment

A teacher of a kindergarten in Jhenidah was arrested on Friday on charge of sexually harassing a minor female student of the institution. The arrestee was identified as Abdul Khalid Hossain, 45, teacher of a kindergarten school at Maheshpur upazila and son of Suja Uddin of Baghadanga village in the upazila. Officer-in-Charge of Maheshpur Police Station Shahjahan Ali said the teacher made an attempt to violet the girl in his office room three days back. As the girl raised a hue and cry, other students of the school rushed to her rescue. After a complaint was lodged with the local police station, Khalid was arrested from his village around 3:00pm, according to UNB.
