Teacher dies in Kurigram crash

A madrasa teacher died and 7 other people were injured in a road accident in Ulipur Upazila in Kurigram district on Wednesday. The dead is Khairul Islam, 50, a teacher of Jummahat Darul Ulum Fazil Madrasa in the Upazila. Police said a three wheeler hit a motorcycle at Ulipur Bus Stand crossing on the Kurigram-Chilmari road, leaving motorcycle rider Khairul dead on the spot and seven other passengers of both vehicles injured. Local people rescued the injured and admitted them to a hospital, according to a news agency.
