Teacher held for corporal punishment

Police arrested a teacher in connection with a case for inflicting corporal punishment on two students at a kindergarten in Adamdighi upazila of Bogra district on Wednesday noon. The arrestee was identified as Murad Hossain, a teacher of Rothbari Daffodil Kindergarten School. According to the case statement, Murad wounded grievously two class II students-- Shahriar and Tarun- by twisting their ears for making a noise in the classroom at the kindergarten on Tuesday. Later Shahriar’s father Harun-or-Rashid took his son to a local hospital. He filed a case against Murad with Adamdighi Police Station on Wednesday morning. Muslem Uddin, officer-in-charge of the police station confirmed the incident, according to a news agency.
