Teachers should treat their students well

Friday, 25 November 2022

Teachers play a crucial role in creating a knowledgeable and helpful learning environment for children. So, the way they behave has a significant impact on the students' overall development. However, most teachers in Bangladesh do not receive any formal training or mentoring before they begin their careers. Consequently, across the country, teachers can be found disrespecting and harassing students.
Abusing and shaming students of any level is not only unprofessional but creates a poor learning environment that discourages students from studying altogether. All educational institutions must enforce a code of conduct for teachers and take strict action against any teacher accused of harassing or humiliating students.
