Team Bangladesh, a delegation of 15 members has arrived from Nepal after completing the "Religious Youth Service Project (RYS 2015)". The youth conference was organised by Universal Peace Federation (UPF), an umbrella organisation of United Nations peacekeeping movement with the theme 'Leadership through Service.' Participants from Bangladesh engaged themselves in community-based work, educational presentations, interfaith and community visits, interactive programmes, and cross-cultural learning experience. During the conference 35 participants attended from Bangladesh, Pakistan, Myanmar, USA and Singapore. Nepal was the host country.
As many as 15 Bangladeshi participants who were chosen rigorously out of hundreds of applications shared their ideas with other participants from different backgrounds with different religions to establish peace and friendship among the countries of the world. They also made different in-house presentations conducted by international facilitators that ensured to boost up their competence to handle future leadership. Team Bangladesh said RYS 2015 focused more on the lifestyle and humanity than religion itself and that motivated them to work for the public interest over individual preference for the sake of the entire society. Participants also got motivated to decline religious superstition and drive mankind towards tomorrow regardless of race, region or religion.
Participants described it was a conference worth attending as they got connected with overseas friends and visited different historical places of Nepal. They conducted educational sessions in one of the government schools of Pokhara and shared culture of Bangladesh with  students of Nepal. They also visited several religious places and enlightened themselves with a history of different religions. During numerous educational sessions in Nepal on religion, peace and diversified leadership, Team Bangladesh shared its idea of co-existence of religion, women empowerment, unbound connectivity and so on.
Team Bangladesh also visited Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal and distributed reliefs among the earth quake affected 2500 families in presence of Ek Nath Dhakal, Poverty Alleviation Minister of Nepal. Participants witnessed the devastating effect of the earthquake and expressed their condolences with the local community.  The team obtained RYS certification that ensures their direct participation in any of the UPF events that took place in 63 different countries all over the world.
Such participation in the global arena of Bangladesh certainly ensures competitive future leadership among the youths of our county. From RYS 2015, participants came back with immense confidence of taking initiatives to bring positive changes in their own community They showed their interest to break artificial boundaries and started working together with diversified young people for making this world a sustainable place for the future generation.
