Team BJMC advance to 3rd slot

Riding on a hattrick by Guinean Ismael Bangoura, new sensation Team BJMC advanced to the 3rd place in the Grameenphone Bangladesh Premier League beating Farashganj SC by 3-1 goals at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city Sunday, reports UNB.
After the day's outcome, Team BJMC have secured 23 points from 13 matches to assure the 3rd slot after league leader Abahani Limited (33 points) and Muktijoddha SKC (30 points). The old Dhaka outfit Farashganj SC remained at their previous credit of 14 points playing 13 matches.
Guinean striker Ismael Bangoura slammed the eighth hattrick in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League scoring all the three goals for BJMC while Congo booter Siyo Zunapiyo scored the face-saving goal for Farashganj.
Bangoura put Team BJMC ahead in the 43rd minute from a penalty (1-0).
Cameroonian midfielder Baybeck was fouled by Farashganj defender Mario Davis in the danger zone and Bangoura converted spot kick correctly (1-0).
Bangoura scored the second goal for BJMC by a placing shot in the 53rd minute after playing one-two-one with Ajagun Abdul Rashid (2-0).
Siyo Zunapiyo reduced the margin for Farashganj in the 65th minute with a powerful volley off a corner of Kawser Ahmed Rajiv (2-1).
However, Bangoura completed his treble in the 75th minute with neat chip over the onrushing Farashganj goalie Shakil. (3-1)
Earlier, both the team came close to a score in the first quarter of the match with Farashganj midfielder Jewel Rana made a 20 yarder in the 26th minute that was punched by BJMC goalie Tarek at the cost of corner.
Farashganj goalie Shakil made a good save in the 34th minute as he timely foiled an Ismael Bangoura attempt.
