Team off to attend Shanghai World Expo

A high-level team, headed by Industries Minister Dilip Barua, has left the city for China on October 17 to attend 'World Expo Shanghai China - 2010.'
The nine-member team will visit a number of industries at Shanghai and Beijing, and hold bilateral meetings with the entrepreneurs and leaders of several commercial organisations.
This visit will play an important role in developing bilateral relation between Bangladesh and China, and will help fetch investment to the country, an official statement said.
The team includes Zahid Malek, MP, Abul Kashem Khan, president of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industries, M Anis Ud Dowla, president of Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Kaihan N Rahman, deputy managing director of Pubali Jute Mills Ltd, Habibullah M Karim, former president of Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services, Jafar Ahmed, chairman of Apex Foods Ltd, Niaz Rahim, group director of Rahimafrooz Bangladesh Ltd, and Faraz Abdur Rahim, manager of its International Commercial Wing. The team will return on October 22.
