Tech's new vanguard

Monday, 5 August 2024

Technology and business are evolving rapidly, and this rapid change has led to a paradigm shift in the realm of job placements for IT graduates, providing Management Information System (MIS) graduates with a stepping stone to enter sectors once dominated by Computer Science (CS) graduates.
The unique blend of skills possessed by MIS graduates lies at the core of this shift. MIS graduates bring to the table both technical expertise and business acumen, in contrast to their CS counterparts, who are proficient exclusively in the theoretical and technical aspects of Computer Science. The demand for MIS graduates rises in fields where technology and business intersect, turning them into a hidden treasure for employers because they can bridge the gap between technical teams and stakeholders, guaranteeing that technological solutions support business objectives.
However, the skill sets of both CS and MIS graduates can be complementary in the digital era, where business function and technology are becoming increasingly intertwined. The tech industry thrives on collaboration, which creates a stronger team dynamic.
