Teenage boy lynched in Laxmipur

A teenaged boy was killed and his elder brother injured in a mob attack in Raipur Upazila in Laxmipur district on Sunday morning. The deceased was identified as Shipon, student of class IX in a local madrasa and son of Shamsul Islam of Keroa village of the upazila. Locals said Shipon and his elder brother Al Amin, an army officer, were caught by a group of villagers at Panpara on Raipur-Ramganj road while they were returning home from Raipur Bazar on Saturday night. The brothers were beaten mercilessly by the villagers. Shipon succumbed to his injuries on the way to Raipur Health Complex. Al-Amin has been shifted to Laxmipur Sadar Hospital from the Raipur hospital, according to UNB.
