Teenage found dead in Sunamganj

A teenage boy was found dead at Jagadishpur village in Jagannathpur upazila in Sunamganj on Tuesday evening. The deceased was identified as Afsar Miah, 11, a resident of the village. Police said local people spotted the body of Afsar in a jungle of the village in the evening and informed them. Later police recovered the body and sent it to Sunamganj Sadar Hospital for an autopsy. Victim’s family members said Afsar remained missing since after he was called out of the house by Noman, a resident of the same village, in the morning. A case was filed in this connection. Asaduzzaman, officer-in-charge of Jagannathpur Police Station, said police suspected that Afsar might have been strangulated to death by miscreants, according to UNB.
