Teenaged boy drowns in pond

A teenaged boy drowned while taking bath in a pond in Kalurghat under Chandgaon Police Station in Chittagong city on Monday afternoon. The deceased was identified as Foysal, 18. Jasim Uddin, deputy assistant director of Chittagong Fire Service and Civil Defence, said Foysal along with his two friends came on a visit to a relative’s house in the area from Cox’s Bazar. They went for bathing in a pond of one Ershad Ullah at about 3:30 pm and Foysal suddenly slipped off and drowned as he did not know how to swim. Being informed, firefighters from Agrabad fire station rushed to the spot and recovered the body, according to UNB.
