Ganatantra Mancha, a platform of some political parties, has claimed that a train was torched in the capital as part of a government plot to crack down on the ongoing one-point movement, reports UNB.
Zonayed Saki, a top leader of the platform and chief coordinator of Ganosamhati Andolon, made the allegation while speaking at a brief rally in front of the Jatiya Press Club in the city on Tuesday.
"We're now seeing how much conspiracies this government can hatch. We saw a moving train set on fire in Tejgaon today (Tuesday), killing some people and injuring others. We want to unequivocally say that ongoing movement has no connection with such acts of sabotage," he said.
