Teknaf landport fails to achieve targeted revenue

CHITTAGONG, Oct 09: Teknaf landport (TLP) could not achieve its target of realisation of revenue during last few months including September last. As against the target set by the National Board of Revenue (NBR) for the month of September, 2008 amounting to around Taka 65 million, TLP customs realised revenue worth around Taka 61 million only and with that TLP failed to achieve its target for the last three month, concerned sources said.
According to the TLP sources, because of decline in import of fish from the neighbouring country of Myanmar due to different reasons TLP could not achieve the target in revenue earnings during the stated period.
