Telephone services

Tuesday, 18 February 2014

People use the land phone as a good mode of communication. However, access to such communication system has become difficult as service is erratic. My BTCL land phone is not in proper order for months. Sometimes outgoing local calls can be made, but NWD calls using area code is not possible. Many of my relations complain they can not reach me over telephone; sometimes they are lucky to get my line.
Same is the case with many of my friends and relatives. Their land phones remain either total dead at times, or sometimes it works. It is a pity that during the days of digital revolution we can not maintain or manage properly the land telephone system. The demand for land phones has fallen dramatically across the world following the advent and rapid development of the mobile technology. It is time either to shut down land phone system, or manage it properly. The government can also give management contract of the BTCL phones to private agencies. Let some revolution of land phone take place like the modern mobile phone system.
