Saturday, 20 December 2014

With the telecom sector marching ahead with newer technologies and data boom, state-owned mobile phone operator Teletalk has managed to make a great stride with its 3G service with a 250 per cent growth in the subscription over the last two years. As of December 10, 2014, the number of Teletalk subscribers stood at 4.2 million from 1.65 million in December, 2012, according to data provided by Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC). Talking to the news agency, Teletalk managing director Gias Uddin Ahmed said, "The number of our subscribers has been increasing due to the 3G service as our data speed is very good. We don't make any compromise in this regard. We'll be able to do even better if the government helps us more."
