Temperature dips further in city

The temperature declined further in the city on Monday thanks to drizzle in places with a steady wind.
The humidity ranged from 75 per cent in the morning to 65 per cent in the evening while sky remained cloudy almost the whole day.
A 9.0-15 kph wind helped reduce the heat on the day, said Met Office.
The maximum temperature in the city was found as 33.6 degrees Celsius and minimum temperature 27 degrees until 6:00 pm on Monday, said Met Office.
The country's highest temperature of 35.8 degrees was recorded in Jashore on the day while the lowest temperature was recorded as 24 degrees at Dighinala in Khahrachhari district.
The country's highest rainfall of 73 mm was recorded at Nikli in Kishoreganj between Sunday morning and Monday morning.
Light to moderate rain was likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Dhaka, Chattogram, Rajshahi, Khulna and Barishal divisions in next twenty four hours starting from Monday 6:00 pm.
The sun sets at 6.01 pm today (Tuesday) and rises at 5.45 am tomorrow (Wednesday).
