Ten arrested by BGD from Sadipur border

Our Correspondent KHULNA, Nov 19: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested 10 people including 5 women and 2 children from Sadipur border on Friday. The arrested persons are Salma Khatun, wife of Nazrul of village Baniakhali, Saleha Khatun, wife of Sekender of village Nalbunia, Lucky Begum, wife of Hasan of village and her baby Hafijur, Anowara Begum, wife of Abul Mia, under Rampal upazila of Bagerhat district, Runa Begum, wife of Zazir Hossain of village Raenda and her baby Fahima. Zakir Hossain, son of Hossain Ali, Dulal Hossain, son of Salim Mia and Maharaj, son of Hamid Uddin of Morrelgong and Sharonkhola Upazila of Bagerhat distrct. Benapole checkpost IC Camp commander Liakat Hossain said that on secret information they launched a drive at Sadipur area and arrested five women, three men and two children when they were illegally entering into Bangladesh from India on Friday morning. Source said that the arrestees went to India in search of better jobs. They were handed over to Benapole port thana. Two die from food poisoning Two persons were died from food poisoning at Khulna Medical College Hospital on Thursday. The deceased were identified as Nilufar Yasmin Rupa (30), wife of Jashim Uddin, Journalist of a private TV channel at Mongla and his sister in-law Rukaia Zaman Mukta (28). Police and local source said that Jasim Uddin's family resides at Sonadanga residential area. On Thursday evening his wife Rupa and her sister Mukta went out of the house and ate some fast food. They felt sick and started vomiting after returning home at about 9.30 pm. They were rushed to a near by private hospital. Later they were shifted to Khulna Medical College Hospital where their condition deteriorated and they died at about 10.30 pm. The bodies were taken to Mongla after post mortem on Friday. A case has been field in this connection with Sonadanga thana.
