Ten Ashrayan Prokolpo houses gutted in Pabna

PABNA, Apr 6: At least ten houses were gutted in a devastating fire at Dulai Govt. Ashrayan Prokolpo in Sujanagar Upazila of Pabna Saturday night.
Bera fire service officer Moazzem Hossain said the fire was originated from the lamp of one Darog Ali's kitchen of the Prokolpo at around 8.00pm on Saturday, engulfed the area within a short time and gutted 10 living houses of Dulal Sikdar, Chand Ali, Saddam Hossain, Kadu Biswas, Darog Ali, Razu Bala, Nazrul Islam Pramanik, Selina Begum, Habibur Rahman and Hamidul Islam.
Bera fire service and local people brought the fire under control after several hours of frantic efforts.
Sujanagar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sakhwat Hossain and Upazila Parishad Chairman Abul Kashem visited the fire affected Prokolpo on Sunday morning.
