Ten persons were killed and many others injured in separate incidents in different places of the country during the last two days, report agencies.
In Mymensingh, two people were killed when an inter-city train crashed into a covered minivan of a pharmaceutical company on an open level crossing in Trishal Upazila Wednesday morning.
Police said the Mymensingh-bound 'Teesta' from Dhaka rammed into the van of Renata Pharmaceutical Company while the medicine-carrier was crossing the level crossing at about 9.30am, killing its passengers on the spot.
In Madaripur, a housewife allegedly committed suicide by taking poison at Bhabanipur village in Kalkini Upazila Tuesday night.
In Bogra, two people were killed and eight others injured in a collision between two trucks at Chandarpara in Dhunat Upazila Wednesday.
In Sylhet, a motorcyclist was killed and his co-rider injured in a tragic road accident at Khadimpara in Zakiganj Upazila on the Sylhet-Tamabil Highway Monday noon.
