Ten RU BCL men sued

RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY, August 31: The Rajshahi University (RU) authorities have filed a case against ten leaders and activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) of the university unit for beating up acting chief engineer and two others employees.
Alamgir Hossain, officer in charge (OC) of Motihar thana said university's acting Registrar Prof Entajul Haque Saturday filed the case with the thana against three named and seven unnamed BCL men accusing them of extortion and assaulting RU chief engineer in front of VC's office on Thursday noon.
Three named accused are Towhid Al Tuhin, a MBA student of finance & banking department, was relieved of his post as BCL RU unit general secretary Friday, fisheries department students' vice president Tonmoy Ananda Ovi and activist Mamun-Ur-Rashid.
