Tender soon to appoint Ctg port berth operators

Wednesday, 5 May 2010

FE Report
The shipping ministry is going to appoint operators for 12 berths of the Chittagong Port through tender to make the port more efficient.
"The process is likely to finish within three months, and it will bring more revenue to the public exchequer," shipping secretary Mohammad Abdul Mannan Howladar told the FE.
"The minimum bidders will get the job, so the port will have to pay less to the operators for cargo handling," he said.
