Tuesday, 14 October 2014

Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal (RA) International Airport in Kurmitola in Dhaka on Tuesday morning on a one-day visit to Bangladesh. The multiple world record-holding Indian cricketer has arrived on a 24-hour visit upon the invitation of private sports club ‘Legends of Rupganj’, a club originally founded in Rupganj, Narayanganj, and now its headquarters shifted to the city. A special fight, carrying the ‘king of cricket,’ landed on Hazrat Shahjalal (RA) International Airport around 11:00am. During the day-long visit, the ‘master blaster’ will spend times with the club’s players, attended a press conference and join some social activities. This is Tendulkar’s first visit to Bangladesh after ending his illustrious Test, one-day international (ODI) cricket and T20 career recently, according to a news agency.
