Termination of BSS journos protested

Wednesday, 10 November 2010

A faction of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) and Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ) has strongly protested the termination of five journalists from Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS), the national news agency, reports UNB.
Both the BFUJ and DUJ have demanded of the BSS management and the government as well to immediately withdraw the termination notice served on five journalists.
"Otherwise, the journalists would forge a resistance against this," said a joint statement issued Tuesday by BFUJ President Ruhul Amin Gazi and Secretary General MA Aziz, and DUJ President Abdus Shaheed and General Secretary Mohammad Baker Hossain.
