Terrorist held with pistol in Laxmipur

Police arrested an alleged terrorist in possession of a pistol from Kali Bridge area in Sadar upazila of Laxmipur district on Friday afternoon. The arrestee was identified as Shariful Islam, son of Abdul Malek, a resident of the village. Mohammad Nasim, assistant superintendent of police said tipped off a team of police conducted a drive in the area and arrested Shariful. The law enforcers also recovered a pistol from his possession. The arrestee was wanted in several cases with Chandraganj and Sadar police stations, the ASP added, according to a news agency.
