\\\'Terrorist\\\' hurt in Jessore \\\'shootout\\\'

JESSORE, June 1 (UNB): An alleged terrorist was shot and wounded in a 'shootout' between his cohorts and joint force members at Bhaturia in sadar upazila Saturday.
The injured was identified as Masudur Rahman Nannu, son of Lutfar Rahman, of the Barandipara area of the town. He was wanted in 14 cases, including of murder, said police.
Kotwali thana officer-in-chargeĀ  (OC) Rafiqul Islam said joint force members arrested Nannu from the Monihar area of the town at 12:00 noon.
When the law enforcers took Nannu to Bhaturia area for recovering arms, Nannu's cohorts opened fire on the law enforcers, forcing them to fire back, triggering a gunfight.
Nannu received bullet wound during the gunfight. One shutter gun, one bullet and some bomb making materials were recovered from the spot.
