'Terrorist' killed in Ctg 'gunfight'

CHATTOGRAM, Oct 23: One alleged terrorist and ringleader of a muggers' gang was killed in a gunfight with Rapid action Battalion (RAB) in the wee hours today.
The victim was identified as Nazir Ahamed Sumon alias Kalu (26), alleged killer of Dr Shah Alam who was killed on Thursday night.
According to the sources in RAB, a mobile team of the elite force was crossing the Banshbaria area under Sitakunda thana at around 4 am this morning and found that Kalu and his gang were preparing to committing crimes there.
The RAB team surrounded them and the criminals opened fire to the law enforcers. In retaliation, the RAB team also fired to the criminals.
After the gunfight, the body of Kalu was found lying while rest of his gang members managed to escape. RAB members recovered the body of the victim.
