Terrorist killed in encounter with cops in Jhenaidah

JHENAIDAH, Aug 3 (UNB): A terrorist was killed in an encounter between police and his cohorts at village Khulumbari in Shailkopa Upazila early Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Sachchu Mollah (38), a cadre of notorious 'Amal Bahini' of Pangsha Upazila in Rajbari district.
Sachchu was wanted in eight cases including two of murders, the police said. He was also a fugitive convict of a case.
The police arrested Sachchu and his associate Bipul Kumar from Charaibil in Shailkopa Saturday evening.
After interrogation, the police along with Sachchu and Bipul went to Khulumbari at about 4:00 am to recover hidden arms.
