Textech Expo brings good response

A total of four textile fairs organised by `CEMS USA' in association with `CEMS Bangladesh' ended recently at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre in the city on a high note.
The fairs were 10th Textech Bangladesh 2009', 3rd Dye+Chem Bangladesh 2009 Expo, 3rd Dhaka International Yarn and Fabric Show 2009 and 7th MachinExpo Bangladesh 2009 Expo, said a press release.
The exhibitors were happy over the response received by the visitors in the past four days of the Expo with some bagging good spot orders. "We are very happy with the response and have got some spot orders and will come back next year. Bangladesh is a good and big potential market", said Mr Gerard Epperlein of Twistex - France.
The Chinese Dyes and Chemical manufacturers team headed by Ms Wang of China National Chemical Information Centre called on Md Fazlul Hoque, president of Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA) at his office and held good discussions on the market in Bangladesh.
The delegation to BKMEA comprised over 16 companies and Mr Hoque explained to them the huge potential Bangladesh has in this sector and also welcomed investments from China in the Dyes and Dyestuff sector.
Heading the delegation from TEXPROCIL, the Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council of India, Mr Ravindranathan, deputy director said their members were satisfied with their business in Bangladesh.
Over 350 exhibitors from over 15 countries participated in these exhibitions.
