Textile mill warehouse burns down in Narsingdi

A fire broke out at a textile mill at Brahmandi in Narsingdi town on Sunday night, burning down a huge quantity of cotton in its warehouse. Fire service sources said the fire originated from an electric short circuit at the cotton warehouse of ‘’Joba Textile Mills’’ at about 9:00pm and it soon engulfed huge cotton stacked there. On information, five firefighting units from Madhabdi, Ghorashal, Monohardi, Raipura and district town rushed to the spot and doused the blaze after three hours of frantic efforts. However, fire again erupted at the same site around 6:00am next morning. Being informed, five firefighting units rushed in and started working to extinguish the blaze, according to UNB.
