Thai-BD business council chief meets CCCI president

CHITTAGONG, Jan 10: The joint president for South Asia, Middle East and African Affairs of the Board of Trade on Thailand and president of Thai-Bangladesh Business Council Mingpant Chaya made a courtesy call on the president of the Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mahbubul Alam on January 9 at the latter's office in the port city.
During the meeting the CCCI president emphasised on strengthening the existing bilateral relations and urged the visiting leader to work for greater bilateral trade expansion and invest more in Bangladesh, especially in Chittagong.
He expressed gratitude to the Thai business leader stating that Thailand has been a partner country in the CITF (Chittagong International Trade Fair) for the last nine years. He also requested the Thai business leader to attend the inaugural ceremony of the World Trade Centre of the CCCI in February 2015 where Prime Minister of Bangladesh will remain present as chief guest.
Mingpant Chaya said a high powered business delegation from Thailand will be visiting Chittagong by the first week of February.
