Thai festivals in city for local enthusiasts

The Royal Thai Embassy and its partners have organised a three-day festival called "Taste of Thailand in Bangladesh 2010" which will be held from July 16 to 18, on the embassy premises in Dhaka.
At the fair, visitors will be able to enjoy Thai cuisine, fruits, food products as well as the cultural identity of Thailand, said the embassy officials at a press conference Sunday.
In addition, the Royal Thai Embassy in collaboration with Radisson Water Garden Hotel Dhaka (RWGHD) and Thai Airways International has organised "Thai Food and Cultural Festival" from July 12 (today) to 18 at RWGHD.
In this connection, the press conference was held at RWGHD where Tasawadee Miancharoen, Ambassador of Thailand to Bangladesh, was the chief guest.
Kitipong Manityakul, general manager, Thai Airways, Andre A Gomez, general manager, Saeed Ahmed, executive assistant manager and director of sales and marketing, RWGHD, also spoke on the occasion.
The festival organisers informed that at the fair, visitors will be able to taste and enjoy the sophisticated and authentic Thai food exclusively prepared by Thai chefs from Thai restaurants in Dhaka.
They could be able to taste and enjoy seasonal Thai fresh fruits imported from Thailand exclusively for the event and be entertained by professional Thai dancers from renowned cultural troupes who will perform live on stage during the event.
