Thaicom shares jump 13pc on acquisition plan

BANGKOK, June 15 (Reuters): Shares in Thai satellite operator Thaicom PCL extended gains, jumping more than 13 per cent, Tuesday after the government said it planned to buy the company or its satellites.
At 0306 GMT, Thaicom shares were up 12.8 per cent at 7.95 baht after hitting as high as 8.20 baht earlier, outperforming a 0.25 per cent fall of the broader Thai market.
The stock surged 30 per cent Monday.
