Thailand keen to help improve energy sector

Visiting Thai Foreign Minister said Thursday that his country is keen to help Bangladesh improve its energy and communication sectors, according to a press release.
Thai Minister Kasit Piromya was speaking at a meeting with the officials of Bangladesh Thai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTCCI) at a city hotel.
He noted that the existing trade imbalance between the two countries should be reduced. Piromya hailed Dhaka's decision to join the Asian Highway group and expressed the view that the most viable route for Bangladesh would be via Myanmar to Thailand, which will help grow trans-border trade.
