Thailand marks India's middle class for food exports

BANGKOK, July 21 (Commodity Online): Thailand, known for its variety of foods, said it will target 300 million middle income segment of Indian population to boost food exports
According to Thailand's Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion, country's food exports to India will rise by 40 per cent this year on strong demand from India's upper and middle market segments, in a statement issued here, SMEP said it will be able to raise food exports to India to a value of 10 billion baht this year, we are afraid of protective measures that are not in the form of taxes, but rather non-tariff barriers.
