Bangladeshi patients seeking advanced, next-generation medical treatment now have enhanced access to MedPark Hospital, a leading multidisciplinary facility in Thailand's capital of Bangkok.
The 550-bed multidisciplinary hospital has been included in Newsweek's "World's Best Hospitals" list and is accredited by Joint Commission International (JCI). It provides treatment for a range of medical conditions, including complex cases, says a press statement.
The hospital hosted a press briefing at a hotel in Dhaka on Saturday to showcase its advanced diagnostic and treatment capabilities and highlight how
Bangladeshi patients can benefit. Thitiporn Chirasawadi, Ambassador of Thailand to Bangladesh, attended the event as the chief guest.
Speakers at the event included Dr. Virat Pinyopornpanit, Internal Medicine Specialist; Dr. Yongyut Kongthanarat, Radiation Oncologist; Dr. Waiwit Sanguanwongwan, Orthopedic Surgeon; and Kazi Sharhan Saif, Manager of International Marketing (Bangladesh and South Africa).
To facilitate patient access, MedPark operates a dedicated help desk with Bangla-speaking coordinators and maintains referral offices in Dhaka and Chattogram for medical coordination, travel arrangements and continuity of care.
The hospital also offers air ambulance services for critically ill patients, equipped with ICU-level care and specialised transfer teams.
Located in Bangkok's central business district on Rama IV Road, the hospital operates from a 25-storey, 90,000-square-metre facility equipped with advanced medical technologies, including PET-CT, 3 Tesla MRI, 256-slice CT scan, SPECT-CT, nuclear medicine imaging, LINAC-based radiation therapy and hybrid operating theatres.
A modern laboratory system supports accurate diagnostics and timely clinical decisions.
A significant proportion of MedPark's physicians have received training in the United States, Europe, Japan and Australia, enabling a coordinated multidisciplinary approach across more than 40 specialties.
Its facilities include intensive care and coronary care units, along with services for cancer treatment, cardiology, orthopedics, pediatrics, maternity care and fertility treatment, including in vitro fertilisation (IVF).
