Thalassaemia Hospital launches digital patient management

Bangladesh Thalassaemia Samity Hospital officially launched their digital patient management system on Thursday to improve services, information management, and treatment for thalassaemia patients in a more modern and effective way.
Through this new system, all kinds of patient-related medical information, such as blood transfusion data, clinical details, medication records, test results, and follow-up information, will be stored on an integrated platform, according to a press statement.
Doctors and patients' families will easily be able to access necessary information as a result, making treatment faster and more accurate.
The event was attended by eminent hematologist Dr. M. A. Khan, professor, honourary advisor of Bangladesh Thalassaemia Samity, and former head of Hematology & BMT Department at Dhaka Medical College Hospital. The programme was presided over by Dr. M. A. Matin, president of Bangladesh Thalassaemia Samity.
Dr. Md. Zahidul Islam, senior vice president and advisor of Bangladesh Thalassaemia Samity Hospital Research Institute; Engr. Md. Mosharrof Hossain, general secretary; Engr. Md. Habibur Rahman, treasurer; Engr. Kazi Ali Ashraf, executive member, Dr. A.K.M. Ekramul Hossain, executive director, Bangladesh Thalassaemia Samity Hospital; Dr. Mafruha Akter, associate professor, Hematology Department, Dhaka Medical College; and Dr. Nasib Mohammad Irsadullah, assistant professor, Hematology Department, National ENT Institute; were present at the event.
Dr. A.K.M. Ekramul Hossain said,"We believe this initiative will not only benefit patients and their families, but also make a significant contribution to thalassaemia prevention and research at the national level."
