Thank you, Moriarty

US ambassador J. F. Moriarty deserves some thanks for the belated admission of the 'tragic mistake', committed by the USA during the 1971 Liberation War of Bangladesh. But why and how it took the US so long to realise its mistake is difficult to understand. But does it signify the willingness of the US to help Bangladesh in the trial of the war criminals and Bangabandhu murder case? We know that a number of the war criminals and assassins of Mujib are in the USA.
We hope that the Hasina government will utilise this new realisation in the USA to secure effective help from it on these issues.
