The 5G network and AI

Thursday, 17 February 2022

Bangladesh has entered a new era of digital connectivity as the state-run mobile phone operator Teletalk recently launched fifth-generation (5G) mobile internet connectivity on a trial-basis. It is an innovative mobile technology expected to impact all aspects of our lives including homes, entertainment, work, and travel. It is expected to do so because it enables download speeds 10 to 20 times faster than the current 4G networks.
The technology also allows many more devices to be connected to the internet. It is expected to transform everything around us as it expands the scope of AI (artificial intelligence) implementations across various sectors. And when it comes to the Internet of Things (IoT), this network can bring about new possibilities.
Many people think that AI will soon become widely-available through IoT devices. It will no longer be limited to the Cloud only. Security systems, battery life, cameras, smart workplaces, and gaming gadgets will all be equipped with AI sensors in the future if 5G comes into being in our country. As a result, enterprises will have a better possibility of acquiring data and creating insights. So, we are eagerly waiting for the network to emerge for real in the country.
