The arrogance of taxi cab operators

WHAT fate awaits the city's taxi cab service? Despite media reports pointing out the poor taxi service, no improvement is in sight.
No taxi cab on the roads now is fit for the service. We used to get the taxi cabs at our doorstep after calling the service-provider over phone. Though not all, a majority of the drivers were cooperative.
Now we get the impression that the authorities concerned have lost the interest to improve the taxi cab service. They are simply awaiting the sector operators to withdraw their cabs on their own.
None knows when a mass transport system like the underground train will be introduced in the country. We need taxi-cabs for our daily movement. The demand of the taxi service will always remain there. The government needs to pay attention to this sector. It should undertake a revised plan to sort out the drawbacks for an improved taxi service.
