The end of a nightmare

Old Dhaka dwellers were very happy to see a dead Dakat Shahid. For a long time, notorious killer Shahid's gang had terrorised the people and has been involved in a spree of killings and extortions in the old part of the city and its suburb, Keraniganj.
Unfortunately, we have seen in the past once a notorious criminal is killed very soon few more crop up and take his place. With the death of Shahid in an encounter with RAB the episode of extortion and killing will not come to an end. Nabbing only the hands that hold guns is not enough to stop such crimes the government must also bring to book the godfathers of these criminals.
