'The Last Post Office' to compete in French short film festival

FE Report | Thursday, 13 December 2018

A Bangladeshi short film 'The Last Post Office' has been selected for competition in Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival.
The 41st edition of the biggest short film festival in the world will take place from February 1-10 next year in Clermont-Ferrand, France.
Written by Rajib Rafi, the short film is directed by Aung Rakhine and produced by Rubaiyat Hossain and Aadnan Imtiaz Ahmed.
'The Last Post Office' is a fairytale with an evil twist. On the edge of Bangladesh, cradled between mountains and water, stands a post office-the only mark of civilisation. This post office has a notorious reputation; people who work here, and disappear.
Made in Bengali language, The Last Post Office is Aung Rakhine's 2nd film and his debut film "Mor Thengari" (My Bicycle) was the first Chakma language film in Bangladesh.
"Clermont-Ferrand is the most important festival for short films, so we are thrilled that The Last Post Office has been selected," said producer Aadnan Imtiaz Ahmed in a media release.
This year, 76 films were chosen out of 9238 films across the globe to compete in the international competition.
