The people want a good national budget
Monday, 29 March 2010
The Jatiya Sangsad should pass a national budget which will benefit the people of the country. Many people are facing a lot of problems in investing and utilising their untaxed money. A way should be found out to facilitate proper utilisation of the untaxed money. Otherwise, this money may be transferred to other countries in some way or other.
We always want to develop our country financially and want to become solvent and stronger. But this was not happening during the past several years. We failed to implement the national budget in a proper manner. Some banks, financial institutions and leasing companies are ready to support the industries and business but they are handicapped by government policies, rules and regulations.
The government should remove those obstacles. It should reduce the tax burden on the business people and allow them to utilise their hidden and untaxed income in all sectors of the economy including housing and shopping complex. This will make the country economically strong. It should also be noted that all income holders are not paying tax equally. Income tax should be imposed on all a fair way. The Finance Minister should discuss this matter with all the stake holders. To present the nation a real budget, he should keep the door of investment open for the untaxed money.
The previous BNP government and its finance minister did not follow constructive policies in the economic field for the purpose of nation building. A lot of untaxed money was withdrawn from banks and financial institutions for their wrong financial policies. That money was not utilised in proper ways in industries and business. As a result, banks and financial institutions failed to collect their outstanding dues, including principal amount.
The people hope and wish that the present government will give a good national budget for the year 2010-2011.
