Thieves kill boy in Khulna

Thieves hit and killed a boy with a hammer and injured two other people in Rupsa Strand Road area in Khulna city on Wednesday. The deceased was identified as Shamsuddoha, 16, son of one Golam Zahid Rahman, hailed from Narail district. The injured were identified as Shamsuddoha’s grandmother and domestic assistant Rani. Locals said Shamsuddoha, who came to visit his grandfather’s home, was killed and his granny and her housemaid were injured as a gang of thieves indiscriminately hit them with a hammer. Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) spokesperson Moniruzzaman said that thieves might have attacked Shamsuddoha getting him in front while fleeing the scene. Shamsuddoha succumbed to his injuries on his way to Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH), according to a news agency.
