This regime has no right to stay in office: SCBA chief

Terming the government an ‘unelected and illegal’ one, Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) President Khandker Mahbub Hossain has said that the regime has no right to stay in power anymore. ‘This illegal government must step down. Or else, the country’s people will force it to quit,’ Khandker Mahbub said while addressing a programme organised in front of the SCBA Bhaban in the city. Khandker Mahbub, also an advisor to BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and vice-chairman of Bangladesh Bar Council, urged lawyers to forge a united movement together with people to unseat the government, according to a news agency.
