This season is better than last, says Totti

ROME, Mar 13 (AFP): AS Roma talisman and captain Francesco Totti claimed this season's Serie A title race is better than that of a year ago when Inter Milan romped away with the Scudetto.
Totti is aiming at ending the season with a treble of Serie A, Champions League and Italian Cup as his side are the only Italians still left with a chance of winning all three competitions.
"This season is more exciting than a year ago," Totti told Sky TV.
"In 2007 Inter killed the championship, now we want to go all the way in the Champions League and claw back points in the championship. I believe we can."
Totti believes that Roma's victory over Real Madrid in the Champions League could spur his side on to catch Inter in the title race.
The Milanese club sit six points clear, a sizeable gap but nothing compared to the 22 points by which they won last year's championship.
And having been knocked out of Europe by Liverpool in midweek and with injury problems in defence and disciplinary problems all over the park - they have had six players sent off in the last two months - the feeling is that they are there for the taking.
"After beating Real home and away we showed that we're one of the best teams in Europe," said Totti.
"We'll try to win everything, knowing that we will play some tough teams. We don't want to stop."
Roma are waiting for Friday's Champions League draw to see who they will face in the quarter-finals.
On Saturday they host AC Milan in a crucial league match as they try to hunt down Inter.
